Had another chance to work on my doyles room bankroll tonight. It’s very hard to build a bankroll there as I only have a limited choices of games. There is the .09 + .02 nlhe stt and there are quick draw freerolls (which you can rebuy in for .10+.02 if you get knocked out) and some .10 rebuy tournaments but I don’t have enough bankroll for anything but the stts and the freerolls. This challenge is definitely a challenge of patience and determination.
I played in six .11 stts and out of the six, I won two, came in 2nd in another (this was a horrible game…guy was catching every card in the world and I couldn’t beat him for the life of me), came in 3rd in another when my AT lost to KJ, 5th and then 8th in the other two. I’m very happy with my finishes and how I played each stt.
I also played in a quickdraw freeroll and came in 224 out of 1569 for an .18 cash (I rebought once for .12 to try to get farther in the money…lol, still ended up with the same .06 I would have…oh well, I think I’ll just stick to the free aspect of these freerolls!). My bankroll on Doyles Room now stands at $1.76 and I have 12 action points.
I signed up for Doyle’s Room but then realized that they do not have software for a MAC, sigh, so I can’t play on there. It’s funny how one site can seem like a better fit than another… I am doing great on PokerStars, but can’t seem to get anywhere on Full Tilt lately. I wonder if it is because you get a psychological block of some kind, you sit down at the site you do poorly at and play poorly because of it?? Poker is such a head game. Winning can lead to more winning, so congrats and keep it up!
